SPOT REMOVAL ON CARPETS & RUGS - SPOTTING GUIDE
Whenever you have a liquid spill on carpet place weighted paper towels (1/2 inch thick) over spot, leave until spot is completely dry. If spot is still visible rewet the spot with water and apply the weighted paper towels again. The longer you leave the paper towels the better. Many times this is all that is necessary.

Removing Coca Cola (Coke) stains from a carpet
Mix a quarter of a teaspoon of washing up liquid in 1 cup of lukewarm water. Blot the stain with the solution, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. It may be necessary to rinse several times to completely remove the solution.
If the stain persists, try blotting it with a mixture of 2 tablespoons of household ammonia per cup of water. Rinse thoroughly. Then blot the stain with a solution of 1 cup of white vinegar to 2 cups of water and rinse thoroughly with warm water.
If this fails, then try using a spot-removal kit, which can be purchased at carpet retailers and supermarkets. These kits often contain a stain-resisting solution which is designed to be applied after a detergent solution.
Warning
Applying the stain-resisting solution before the stain has been completely removed may make the stain permanent.
